Shop Motto: "Don’t practice until you get it right, practice until you can’t get it wrong."

My passion for knives began in childhood and grew during my 24-year Army career. Over the years, I collected many knives, but my journey into making them started in 2019. After seeing a beautiful knife at a raffle, I discovered it was crafted locally. I reached out, took a class at The Ogre’s Forge with Joshua O’Crowley, and was instantly hooked. That first class sparked a mentorship and friendship that continues to inspire me today—thanks, Joshua and Robyn, for all the support and late-night shop talks.

Driven to learn, I dove deep into the craft, constantly challenging myself and building out my workshop. In 2022, I joined the American Bladesmith Society and trained under ABS Master Smith Tim Potier and Journeyman Ben Breda. Their expertise motivated me to keep improving, and I plan to continue learning from the best.

Knife making is my passion. I believe a great knife comes down to three essentials—proper steel selection, precise heat treatment, and correct edge geometry. Miss any one, and you just have a knife-shaped object. My goal is to make each knife better than the last.
